Khugaev  I.S.   A  history  fragment  of  the  Ossetian  philosophical  and  humanitarian  paradigm  (About  Professor  S.Sh.  Gabaraev’s  Essays)

Abstract. The paper dwells onS.Sh. Gabaraev’s general methodological principles of "The essays on the history of philosophical and socio-political thinking in Ossetia in the second half of the XIX – early XX centuries". The “Essays” directly characterize the Age of Ossetian Enlightenment, but rather indirectly they refer tothe Middle- and Late Soviet stages ofthe Ossetian academic humanitarian thinkinghaving acquired dialectics and historicism, but burdened with a ideological factor.

Glotova  T.A.,  Karkuzaeva  D.S.  Parenthetical  constructions  in  the  poetic  text  structure (using  the  example  of  IrlanKhugaev’s  poetry)

Abstract. The article focuses on theparentheticalconstructions and their role in the poetic text using an example of IrlanKhugaev’s poetry. Such a textual phenomenon as a parenthesis has variousfunctional and expressive options that can be used by an author to have a direct impact on a reader.A scientific basis for the influence of parenthetical units on the speech expressiveness is given, their relevance in a poetic text is shown and their functional capabilities are considered.

Chibirov  T.N.  Classification  of  hipponyms  in  Ossetian,  Russian  and English  linguocultures

Abstract. This article deals with the study of horse zoonyms (the so-called hipponyms) in Ossetian, Russian and English linguacultures. The importance of such an analysis is to study proper names, that reflect most relevant characteristics of the concept «horse». A significant part of hipponyms represents the descriptive class, where horse proper names are expressed by different characteristics: «horse coat colour», «horse coat type», «size», «beauty/grace», «speed», «friskiness», «might» and etc. Certain horse proper names are expressed by images of birds and animals that may refer to different characteristics. The images of the wind and fire expressed in zoonyms representing ancient metaphors that are reflected in the mythology of various peoples of the world. Horse proper names can be expressed by different abstract concepts, titles, jobs, political views, anthroponyms of the literary and legendary origin, ethnonyms and toponyms. Certain hipponyms reflect whole fragments of the national culture. All this points to the importance of horse proper names study, that provides a more detailed view of the concept structure.

Chibirov  A.L.  Sarmatian-Alanian  component  of  the  French  history ( Iaroslav Lebedisky’s  book  review  “Sarmatians  and  Alans  in  Gaul  in the  IV-V  centuries.  The  history  and  heritage”.)

Abstract. The European historiography has always paid attention to the Sarmatian-Alanianproblematics. This was due to European scientists’ continued interest in the historical past of Europe, whose culture had been significantly influenced by the Sarmatians and Alans. One of the most interesting works on the Sarmatians and Alans has been written by a French historian-archeologist of Ukranian origin IaroslavLebedinsky. The book is called "The Sarmatians and Alans in Gaul in the IV-V centuries. The history and heritage", and it is about historical, archeological and cultural heritage, left by the Sarmatians and Alans in the territory of the present-day France in a certain chronological period.

Dzugaev  K.G.  South  Ossetia  and  the  great  terror  in  Soviet  Georgia. Part  2

Abstract. The article deals with the specificity of the repressions during 1937–1938 in South Ossetia. The quantitative and qualitative analysis of the available data is being carried out, the article concludes that the Georgian authorities had benefited during the period of the Great Terror to suppress the South Ossetian national movement.

Tavasiyev  R.A.  The  degradation  of  the  Karaugom  glacier.  Part  2

Abstract. The article provides information on the degradation andabjunction of the outlet glaciers from the biggest glacier in the North Ossetia (The Central Caucasus).have been considered in the article. The morphometric data provided for all cut-off glaciers. Some suggestions about further degradation of these glaciers have been made.

Gazaev  Kh-M.M.  The  temperature  change  in  the  atmospheric  surface layer  and  the  wind  direction  in  the  Bezengi  gorge

Abstract. The article presents the results of the research on the meteorological temperature parameters in the atmospheric surface layer and the wind direction obtained using the automatic weather station at an altitude of 1700 m above sea level, that is located in the Bezengi gorge. The study revealed a small decrease of the temperature in the atmospheric surface layer in 2015-2016 related to the increased impact of CVDwind direction.

Abstract. The article stresses the relevance of the atmospheric air state ecological monitoring. The green zones of the PFUR campus and zones with high pollution content in the atmosphere have been identified, the factor loading of the man-made impact sources (such as roads affecting the environment) is estimated.
